Which Carolina Panthers players should you start or sit in fantasy football during their Week 8 game against the Atlanta Falcons?

The Carolina Panthers quite literally hit rock bottom in their 25-3 loss to the New York Giants. What looked like a well-oiled machine trending up after three weeks has turned into a dumpster fire that has people – mostly fans – asking serious questions about the ownership and coaching staff.

At this point, those questions are valid. The Panthers have put together a formidable defense and mismanaged the offensive side of the ball from the moment they decided to release Cam Newton.

The better strategy would have been to either keep Newton on his lame-duck contract or release him and allow Will Grier or P.J. Walker to have a shot as the starter.

If they weren’t good, the likelihood is high that the team would have had a top-five pick in a strong 2021 quarterback draft class.

Now, Carolina is essentially paying Teddy Bridgewater to play for the Denver Broncos and the second and fourth-round selections they gave up to acquire Sam Darnold seems like a huge overpay.

The 2022 draft class is also low on talent at the position and the Panthers have been in and out of the Deshaun Watson sweepstakes.

On top of that, the offensive line is a mess, Christian McCaffrey can’t stay healthy, and the team’s pass-catchers have forgotten how to catch.

Hopefully, you’re doing better in fantasy than the Panthers are doing in reality. Here are the players you should start and sit in Week 8 at the Atlanta Falcons.
