Deshaun Watson’s legal issues resolve

The biggest reason why Deshaun Watson remains on the Houston Texans is the current legal complications the quarterback is going through. There are currently 22 serious allegations of sexual misconduct surrounding the player, which makes it incredibly difficult for another organization to part with substantial draft capital to bring him on board.

Now the trade deadline has come and gone, it would be a surprise if a number of teams – including the Carolina Panthers – were not watching what comes next with this situation extremely closely.

Things should become clearer by the next offseason period, one way or another.

If Watson is found guilty of these charges, then he could be blacklisted by other teams and his future in the NFL would be in serious doubt.

Should the signal-caller be exonerated of all charges and whatever investigation the league makes into the matter, then the Panthers or someone else will have no trouble throwing three first-round picks and more Houston’s way to get one of the most talented quarterbacks in the business.

Watson hasn’t been interested in settling out of court, according to multiple reports. If this backfires, it is going to come with some pretty substantial ramifications for the player and those interested in attaining his services.
