5 bold predictions for the Carolina Panthers vs. Patriots in Week 9

Keith Taylor gets his first Carolina Panthers INT
Although other players on the Carolina Panthers defense are getting the headlines, it’s hard not to look at Keith Taylor’s recent production and not be impressed. The talented cornerback looks to be a draft steal from the organization based on what we’ve seen so far, with increased reps in recent weeks bringing out the best in the fifth-round selection.
Just how much Taylor plays against the New England Patriots will come down to C.J. Henderson’s fitness and just how much the Panthers want to put on Stephon Gilmore in his second game back from a torn quad.
Taylor has proven more than capable of dealing with NFL-caliber receivers in coverage. His ability is there for all to see in press man situations and the best thing about the Washington product is he’s only going to get better.
Bill Belichick and Josh McDaniels are renowned for testing rookie players early and often. Taylor should expect some work coming his way whenever he’s on the field and providing the first-year-pro holds up, then it might come with a first career interception.
The Panthers have a player of real promise in Taylor. But this could arguably be his toughest test of the season so far versus two veteran game-planners who can expose any weaknesses at the drop of a hat.
