P.J. Walker – Carolina Panthers QB

Superman has returned, but not in enough time to really be expected to start this Sunday at the Arizona Cardinals. Although he will travel with the team.

With Sam Darnold on injured/reserve, the Carolina Panthers will look to P.J. Walker to take the reins at least for this week. In his last start, the former XFL quarterback completed 24 of 34 passes for 258 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions in a win over the Detroit Lions.

Offensive coordinator Joe Brady said nothing is off the table when it comes to Cam Newton’s participation in Week 10. But expecting miracles right out of the gate after little time to learn the system is unrealistic.

However, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Newton in goal-line sets or other specialist scenarios and packages should the opportunity arise.

Start or Sit in Week 10?

SIT.

This is a terrible matchup for Walker.

Arizona is sixth in the NFL in passing yards allowed and is the fourth-best team against quarterbacks in fantasy.

There are still big questions surrounding Walker as a capable starting signal-caller – hence the reason Newton was signed. I don’t see a reason to put him in fantasy lineups, especially considering the strength of the opponent.
