Carolina Panthers’ 3rd quarter woes

This is nothing new.

Certainly, not since Matt Rhule took over as head coach of the Carolina Panthers.

Just why the players aren’t ready to come out after the halftime break is unclear. But even when the Panthers take a lead into the interval, the right adjustments just aren’t being made consistently and this is something that’s proved to be their undoing on countless occasions throughout the campaign.

Rhule and his staff have been in their respective roles for the best part of two years now. So nobody wants to hear anything more about their lack of experience in an NFL environment.

This is an adapt or die, league.

Until Carolina figures this out, they are only going to get so far no matter how much talent they possess across their roster.

Even if the Panthers are riding on the crest of a wave heading into the break, it’s just so flat immediately after. This complicates matters when it comes to either holding onto a lead or finding the right momentum needed in close contests down the stretch.

The coaching staff isn’t making correct adjustments. The players aren’t motivating themselves after their brief period of rest.

And that bad combination.
