Robby Anderson – Carolina Panthers WR

There have been slight signs of life for Robby Anderson over the last two weeks. The wide receiver hasn’t enjoyed the best of seasons so far, but he’s smiling again following the return of Cam Newton and is also gradually increasing his production.

It’s nowhere near the output we saw from Anderson in 2021. Far from it actually.

But any positive step in the right direction is better than the way things were going when Sam Darnold was under center.

That being said, Anderson needs to produce the goods at the Miami Dolphins. He’s mustered just 273 receiving yards and three touchdowns from 28 receptions, which simply isn’t good enough considering the former Temple star has been targeted 65 times.

The Carolina Panthers showed a great deal of faith in Anderson this offseason by handing him a new two-year deal. He has the talent to turn things around, but down the stretch is where the team needs him most is they want to reach the playoffs.

Another week developing chemistry with Newton will help. And his catch success rate has increased to 75 percent with the former NFL MVP manning the plate.

This all bodes well. But the Dolphins secondary boasts some supreme playmakers that will make life extremely difficult.
