Carolina Panthers have some exciting young talent

When one looks at the long-term prospects of the Carolina Panthers, there are plenty of reasons to be encouraged. The front office has acquired plenty of young talent over the last two seasons, which is now matched with the right sort of veteran leadership that will further steer them in the right direction.

It was always going to be a gradual process after big-time changes were made. Plenty of iconic figures retired or moved on, leaving the roster looking far different from the glory days in Carolina during the 2010s.

Time goes on and things change. No matter how hard it might be to accept.

But judging by the young, vibrant talent at Carolina’s disposal, the future is bright.

Players like Derrick Brown, Jeremy Chinn, and Brian Burns could be the cornerstones of success on defense. That’s not forgetting just how good rookie cornerback Jaycee Horn looked before he suffered a broken foot at the Houston Texans.

Horn looks like a shutdown player in the making after the Panthers took him at No. 8 overall out of South Carolina. Providing he comes back and there are no further complications, he’s going to be a Pro Bowler in no time at all.

Things also look promising on offense. D.J. Moore, Terrace Marshall Jr., Tommy Tremble, Shi Smith, Brady Christensen, Chuba Hubbard, and Christian McCaffrey are all yet to enter their true prime. So if the distribution under center improves with Cam Newton, the sky is the limit.
