4 reasons behind Christian McCaffrey’s no-show at the Dolphins

Christian McCaffrey got injured again
The problems Christian McCaffrey is constantly suffering on the injury front are astonishing, really. Complications that once again reared their ugly head at the Miami Dolphins.
This was the last thing anyone on the Carolina Panthers needed. Especially considering how putrid their offense was even with McCaffrey in the lineup.
FOX Sports’ touchline reporter announced the injury before the team. McCaffrey was reported to have rolled his ankle that apparently “felt good” coming out for the second half according to head coach Matt Rhule, but it wasn’t enough to see the Stanford product see any playing time.
To make matters worse, McCaffrey was seen in a walking boot after the game and was unavailable to the media. Which obviously does nothing to lessen the concerns about his status moving forward.
Thankfully for the Panthers and McCaffrey, he’ll get a good period of rest during the bye week. Hopefully, there won’t be any lasting damage and he can resume team activities with everybody else.
Just how much the Panthers have to play for right now after such a dismal loss is anybody’s guess. So there is also the option of decreasing McCaffrey’s workload or shutting him down entirely whether he likes it or not.
