Consistency is key for any offensive lineman worth their salt in the NFL. Something Andrew Norwell has displayed during every single season he’s been in the league.

Norwell is no stranger to the Carolina Panthers, spending four years with the organization after going undrafted out of Ohio State. He rose to prominence quickly – becoming an essential part of the protection – earning All-Pro honors in 2017.

This was Norwell’s final season in Carolina. The player decided to cash in to join the Jacksonville Jaguars in free agency and his presence has been sorely missed ever since.

Even though Jacksonville has struggled more often than not, Norwell remains one of the best guards in the business, giving up three sacks and conceding nine penalties from 1,078 snaps this season. There appears to be plenty left in the tank and the prospect of returning to a place he once called home might be a tempting proposition.

Jacksonville cannot let their lackluster protection get worse if they want Trevor Lawrence to thrive. So one suspects they might fight hard to keep Norwell around.

The Panthers should be all over this if the price is right. And it would be a popular acquisition from a fan perspective, too.
