Which Carolina Panthers players impressed the most despite the team going through some severe complications during the 2021 season?

Perhaps it came as a huge relief for many to see the Carolina Panthers finally end what’s been a disastrous 2021 season. A 3-0 start left many contemplating a potential playoff return in Year 2 of Matt Rhule’s stint as head coach, only for things to go completely off the rails as the team won just two of their next 14 games to finish at 5-12.

This was completely unacceptable. Especially considering the talent Carolina has on both sides of the football despite some obvious failings at the quarterback spot and almost everywhere on the offensive line.

It promises to be another eventful offseason period for the Panthers. One that could have some pretty big ramifications for the coaching staff and team owner David Tepper, who is coming under increased scrutiny after overseeing little to no success since purchasing the organization.

Carolina is at a crossroads with just $28.3 million in cap space and no Day 2 pick in the 2022 NFL Draft currently. This is far from ideal, but something those in power brought on with questionable personnel moves and contracts handed out by the old regime coming back to haunt them.

However, it hasn’t been all bad.

With this in mind, here is our Panthers end of season awards for 2021 as the team heads off on their break from all things football.
