Carolina Panthers end of season awards: 2021 edition

Haason Reddick – Carolina Panthers OLB
There was some excitement at the addition of Haason Reddick this offseason. The edge defender was coming off a 12.5-sack campaign with the Arizona Cardinals and linking up with his former college coaches on the Carolina Panthers had all the potential in the world.
It didn’t take long for Reddick to become a force flying off the edge. The Temple product proved that last season’s substantial increase in numbers might be the new trend moving forward for the player, who finished with 11 sacks in 2021 for a defense that did make some improvements overall.
Reddick clearly loves being in Carolina. However, betting on himself last spring now means the Panthers need to pay him top dollar to extend the player long-term.
This should be a big-time priority for the Panthers. Consistent pass-rushers are hard to find and even though it’ll cost them, Reddick is worth every cent coming his way.
Of course, the Panthers won’t be held to ransom considering the need to makeover other positional groups. But it would be a huge shock if they couldn’t keep Reddick around in some capacity following a phenomenal 2021 campaign.
Reddick was sensational almost from start to finish. That why he is our Panthers MVP from a season that obviously flattered to deceive in the end.
