Carolina Panthers select Charleston Rambo – WR (Miami)

There is no question D.J. Moore is an elite wide receiver who is criminally underrated in this league. Behind him, there are a lot of questions including Robby Anderson who struggled with drops and living up to the expectations he created last season.

Anderson and Sam Darnold reuniting didn’t have the intended results and Cam Newton wasn’t able to help the receiver either. Behind the Temple product, there are even more questions and with the chance to pick up an underrated receiver in Charleston Rambo, the Carolina Panthers pull the trigger.

Rambo is the most underappreciated receiver in his class. Perhaps due to the fact he played on a Miami team that wasn’t pleasant to watch.

Regardless of the reasoning, Rambo is a solid route runner who always seems to find a way to get open. His style of play fits well with Moore and Anderson, so one would think he would play a role in his rookie year.

Despite the fact they drafted receivers last season, Carolina still needs help and Rambo is a good late-round shot at a position of need.

Whether it is a veteran, rookie, or Sam Darnold, the Panthers offense is going to need to acquire more weapons to help them contend. Drafting Rambo and Cook does just that.
