Malik Willis represents an exciting plan for the Carolina Panthers

The only period of the 2021 season that brought true excitement within the Carolina Panthers’ fanbase was the electrifying return of Cam Newton. Although this didn’t amount to much success in terms of results, there was a completely different atmosphere across the organization and this is something that could return if a player like Malik Willis was acquired.

Overlooking the player’s decision-making concerns and the lack of true competition in college, Willis has what most quarterbacks don’t – an ability to conjure up magic that inspires and gets fans out of their seats.

Considering how poor attendances have been regarding home supporters at Bank of America Stadium this season, Willis coming to Carolina might be beneficial both on and off the field.

All eyes will be on the signal-caller in the face of quality opposition at the 2022 Senior Bowl. A strong showing from Willis in Mobile, Alabama is sure to help his cause en route to potentially becoming a high-end draft pick.

The Panthers also need to show they have some sort of exciting plan to improve their fortunes under center. Most have already seen enough from Sam Darnold to suggest he isn’t the right guy and someone like Willis would give those associated with the franchise hope for the future – even if it doesn’t bring any immediate success.
