5 biggest Carolina Panthers positions of need this offseason

Even though expectations were extremely low for the offensive line in 2021, for them to fail so miserably was a complete embarrassment. Too many changes to the starting lineup, an over-reliance on underperforming veterans, and a clear reluctance to play their two rookies proved too much for the Carolina Panthers to overcome in this critical area of play.
Outside of stud right tackle Taylor Moton, who once again turned out in every snap and was a model of consistency, there was nothing stable. Something that had a grave effect on whoever was unfortunate enough to be playing behind them under center.
General manager Scott Fitterer and head coach Matt Rhule conceded that improving the protection is their biggest priority before they take the field for OTAs and training camp. One could argue that three or even four new faces are needed, which is going to be a stern test of recruitment with no real margin for error.
Moton remains the cornerstone. There could be an intriguing option or two in free agency and Carolina also holds the No. 6 overall selection where they could take an elite offensive lineman with little fuss.
If Brady Christensen and Deonte Brown grow in Year 2 of their pro career, it will only help the Panthers. But this positional group has been ignored for far too long and must be addressed as a matter of extreme urgency.
