Which direction could the Carolina Panthers go with their 2022 NFL Draft picks after casting their eye on prospects at the Senior Bowl?

The Carolina Panthers will know far more about prospects of interest after spending the week in Mobile for the 2022 Senior Bowl. This is always one of the most anticipated dates during the all-important assessment process, with plenty of talent on display for teams to decipher ahead of the NFL Scouting Combine.

It’ll be interesting to see how the Panthers approach this year’s draft. They don’t have a Day 2 pick after trades for Sam Darnold and C.J. Henderson, so they need to get creative in pursuit of landing some prospects that can come in and make an immediate impact.

Whether the decision-making process will alter this year is another thing to watch.

Matt Rhule’s had the final say on personnel moves in the past. But with little in the way of genuine progress last season, it could force team owner David Tepper into a change of direction.

Using Pro Football Network‘s simulator, we took a look at which way the Panthers could go with their selections in a post-Senior Bowl mock draft.

Carolina Panthers trade down from No. 6 overall

With just one pick in the top-100, the Carolina Panthers are a prime trade-down candidate depending on what transpires ahead of them. This would give them more in the way of options and in this scenario, a deal is struck with the Cleveland Brows so they could move up and acquire DeMarvin Leal – a stud defensive tackle out of Texas A&M.

The Panthers could decide to hold firm and take an elite left tackle or a Day 1 starter with Pro Bowl potential in Tyler Linderbaum. However, there are holes all over the roster, and getting two selections back in return is something they would no doubt consider at the right price.
