4 players the Panthers could have drafted instead of Terrace Marshall Jr.

Carolina Panthers could have drafted Rondale Moore
- No. 49 overall selection – Arizona Cardinals
In order to select Rondale Moore, the Carolina Panthers would have not been able to trade back to No. 59 as the Arizona Cardinals took him 10 picks earlier.
It was a solid rookie year for the speedster out of Purdue. After impressing with a blistering 4.32 40-yard dash during the evaluation process, the diminutive Moore finished the year with 54 receptions for 435 receiving yards, one receiving touchdown, and an impressive 462 return yards.
As Sam Darnold was brought in for his supposed deep threat, having a speedster like Moore is something the Panthers may have considered. The wideout demonstrated his capabilities in this area in just his second career game, catching a 77-yard touchdown from Kyler Murray for his first career score.
Now it’s important to note that Moore was catching passes from Murray, who for the first half of the season was in the MVP race as opposed to the much lesser options that Terrace Marshall Jr. had in Carolina.
However, you can’t ignore the higher production from Moore, who was fighting the likes of DeAndre Hopkins and AJ Green for receptions and still topped Marshall in receptions, receiving yards, and scores.
More importantly, Moore’s ability in the return game was top-notch. He compiled almost 500 total return yards, which far exceeded Alex Erickson’s 261 yards in Carolina.
This dual-threat ability from Moore would have made him a solid selection for Carolina at No. 49 overall. If he continues to thrive as a deep threat in the league it might be a pick the Panthers regret not making.
