Carolina Panthers will have Jaycee Horn back

Another reason why the Carolina Panthers could make a shock run at the NFC South title in 2022 is the return of Jaycee Horn. The No. 8 overall selection last year looked like a shutdown cornerback in the making before breaking his foot during the team’s Thursday Night Football game at the Houston Texans in Week 3, which eventually ruled out the South Carolina product for the remainder of the campaign.

Horn has heard all those questioning Carolina’s decision to pick him over the likes of Justin Fields and Mac Jones. Something that is sure to provide additional motivation for a player that has the world at his feet.

Judging by a recent social media video published that featured Horn working out, a huge bounce-back season could be in the offing. His footwork and balance looked absolutely exceptional and it’s evident the corner has also been working hard on his physique away from the gridiron.

With Donte Jackson returning and C.J. Henderson’s scope for improvement with a full offseason in Carolina also possible, this could make a huge difference. Especially with so many exceptional weapons at the wide receiver position across the division.

It doesn’t appear as if Stephon Gilmore will be coming back, unfortunately. But in Horn, the Panthers have a true alpha that can lock down one side of the field and hopefully, remain healthy after a frustrating rookie year.
