Carolina Panthers select Georgia OL Jamaree Sayler

As previously mentioned, the Carolina Panthers made moves to shore up their offensive line in what looks to already be a much more respectable group this coming season. Guard Austin Corbett (3-years, $26 million) and center Bradley Bozeman (1-year, $2.8 million) are both physical and powerful linemen who will move people consistently at the line of scrimmage.

These two offensive linemen are perfect fits in what Ben McAdoo wants in his offense – a powerful downhill rushing attack. By trading back with the Pittsburgh Steelers in the second round of this mock draft, Scott Fitterer adds another powerful protector that can dominate opposing defensive linemen at the point of attack.

Jamaree Sayler is a massive human that can move very well for his size. He’s able to reach his landmarks well at the second level and provides a vicious punch at the point of attack. The Georgia product also has good football intelligence, which will help with his transition to the NFL.

The former five-star high school recruit was the Bulldogs’ starting left tackle during their 2021 national championship campaign. However, his lack of length will most likely keep him at guard at the next level.

Regardless, Salyer is another physical presence that McAdoo would enjoy having upfront.
