Carolina Panthers could draft Jordan Davis
- Defensive Tackle | Georgia
- Relative Athletic Score – 10.00
It didn’t take much examining to see that a lot of Georgia’s defensive players during their national championship-winning campaign in 2021 would be coveted highly by NFL teams. This unit completely dominated almost everyone they came up against last season thanks to dynamic playmakers on every level who were all seemingly made for the big occasion.
One of the team’s major contributors was Jordan Davis, a human wrecking ball on the defensive line interior that was forced to answer questions about his conditioning after Alabama’s no-huddle offense exposed him from a fitness standpoint in the SEC Championship game.
Davis answered all these doubts and then some during the evaluation process, giving him a perfect Relative Athletic Score of 10.00 and almost guaranteeing someone is going to select him in the top-20.
Obviously, there remains some debate surrounding Davis’ capabilities as a three-down defensive tackle in the NFL. Only time will tell in all honesty, but he is a hard worker that has an ungodly knack for making things happen in critical moments.
The Carolina Panthers would be ignoring other needs if they identified Davis as a prospect of interest. But if they traded back for capital, then there are far worse avenues the team could go down.
