Jamaree Salyer is one of the most intriguing prospects in the upcoming draft. The Georgia Bulldogs were lauded for the stellar play on defense during their national championship success, but it’s important not to overlook the play of the big boys on the other side of the ball, either.

The former five-star recruit has been a complete animal on Kirby Smart’s offensive line. Salyer’s imposing frame at times seems simply immovable and it’s no surprise he plays with complete explosiveness, eager to find the second level and finish his blocks.

Salyer has immense upper body strength and powerful hands, which means he can toss defenders aside with what seems like a single swipe – something that can make for some great highlights.

Unsurprising for a player his size, Salyer does sometimes struggle with his lateral quickness but does show some promising signs that this can be coached up.

Salyer’s pure size makes him excel in pass protection with his wide frame making it a challenge for defenders to get past. The lineman has composed footwork, keeping his feet moving, and seemingly never flat-footed in pass-rushing situations.

There are times when Salyer struggles against quicker rushers. Something that means he may transition to guard at the next level.

The majority of experts predict him to be drafted as a guard. However, the former Bulldog showed his skills at tackle and who can forget the rep against Aidan Hutchinson that went viral.

With the potential for him to slip, if the Carolina Panthers don’t trade back and if by some miracle Salyer is still on the board, this is a player they must take.
