Jameson Williams – WR (Alabama)

As stated previously, this is a very deep group of wide receivers coming out of college this year. One could even argue it might end up topping the previous two drafts when it’s all said and done.

Only time will tell, obviously. But it is hard to envisage a scenario where some of the highly-touted prospects fall flat on their face and they could end up having a similar impact to the likes of Ja’Marr Chase or Jaylen Waddle last time around.

Jameson Williams is the latest Alabama wideout set for big things in the pros. He is an elite route-runner with the ball skills to match and when the player was fresh in 2021, there was little anybody could do to stop him.

There are very few, if any, flaws in Williams’ game. His cuts are razor-sharp out of routes and outstanding elusiveness in open space or tight windows is going to cause a substantial amount of problems for opposing cornerbacks in the NFL.

Although the Carolina Panthers haven’t shown much interest in Williams during the assessment process, they will be eagerly awaiting to see if he lands on an NFC South rival. Something they’d have to take extremely seriously moving forward.

Watching Williams go up against Jaycee Horn in the coming years could be unbelievable entertainment. But it would be beneficial if the wideout ended up somewhere else.
