Carolina Panthers could select Daniel Faalele (Minnesota)

Measurements:

  • Height: 6-foot-8 | Weight: 387 pounds

2021 Stats:

  • 276 pass protection snaps
  • 79.1 PFF Grade
  • Started 12 of 13 games at right tackle
  • One rushing touchdown

Considering that Daniel Faalele played most of his college career at right tackle, it’s possible the Carolina Panthers pass on him due to that side of the offensive line already being filled.

However, the talent and pure size of Faalele cannot be overlooked. He has the potential of moving around the offensive line and providing much-needed depth.

Faalele is projected to be Day 2 pick in the second or third round and will be bringing tons of size to wherever he ends up. According to The Guardian, there hasn’t been an NFL starter in the 21st century as large as the incoming college recruit, who stands at 6-foot-8 and weighs a mammoth 387 pounds.

Faalele is a strong blocker due to that strength. The prospect also has plenty of experience since he was a four-year player with the Minnesota Gophers.

Some of the knocks on Faalele are his lack of lateral change-of-direction and quickness. But if the Panthers find themselves with some Day 2 capital at any stage, they could be willing to take that risk and help mold him into a strong professional.
