One of the more underrated offensive tackles in this draft, Bernhard Raimann could be a steal for whoever gets their hands on him.
Raimann converted from tight end to left tackle just two years ago and had a huge 2021 season that moved him up draft boards thanks to outstanding production right out of the gate.
The lineman is projected to be drafted in the first or second round and if the Carolina Panthers decided to move down in the order, he could be a great selection.
The former Central Michigan standout isn’t as big as some of the other tackles in this draft. But was the second-highest graded offensive lineman in the draft class, according to projections from Pro Football Focus.
There might be concerns about Raimann playing for a smaller college program instead of a Power Five school, but he developed quickly. And more importantly, there could be further strides to make with additional coaching.
Some of Raimann’s best skillsets are his ability to establish run lanes, pass protection, and patience on the line. Traits the Panthers undoubtedly need.
Raimann might just work his way into the first round. If not, it would be due to the uncertainty of how he’ll continue to develop.
