Dan Morgan – Carolina Panthers assistant GM

Having someone like Dan Morgan in the front office has been very useful for the Carolina Panthers. The former stud linebacker is making a name for himself as an exceptional evaluator behind the scenes and he’s been front and center throughout assessment events such as the Senior Bowl and NFL Scouting Combine alongside Scott Fitterer in recent weeks.

Morgan is a future general manager, there’s absolutely little doubt about that. What’s important for the Panthers is that they most of the assistant general manager’s presence within the organization while they have the chance.

The approach Morgan gave on the field during his glittering playing days in Carolina is something he’s applying to his life beyond the gridiron. There isn’t much the Miami product hasn’t seen or done in the game, which is a rare trait to lean upon regarding the draft and has the potential to be of significant use to the Panthers in 2022.

There will be others who call the shots. But in terms of thoughts regarding specific prospects, then Morgan’s will be among the most influential.

All this is also a fantastic experience for Morgan. Perhaps one day he might even become the prime shot-caller either in Carolina or somewhere else in the not-too-distant future.
