Dennis Daley – Carolina Panthers OL

The Carolina Panthers made some nice signings to strengthen the offensive line interior in free agency. Bradley Bozeman and Austin Corbett should be a tremendous upgrade on anything the team had last season and if both hit the ground running, it’s another step in the right direction.

There is a real chance for the Panthers to further bolster their protection options during the 2022 NFL Draft. The need for a premier blindside protector is evident, but some exciting college recruits should also be within Carolina’s reach to improve options at the guard positions.

This would obviously mean bad news for Dennis Daley. The former sixth-round pick just hasn’t made the most out of opportunities when presented over the last two years and it was surprising to see Carolina not cut their losses with the player this offseason.

Daley has flashed briefly. But it’s hard to look at his trajectory right now and think he is capable of turning things around in the final year of his deal.

If the Panthers get themselves another prospect or two to compete with Daley, then it’s going to take a rousing effort from the South Carolina product to make his presence felt. He’ll also be tasked with impressing a new offensive line coach in James Campen to further factor into the equation.
