5 prospects linked to the Panthers in way-too-early 2023 mock drafts

As stated previously, the Carolina Panthers have never drafted a player from Clemson. Something that remains bemusing when one considers the level of talent that’s emerged from the program over the years.
This obviously will change at some point. A recent 2023 mock draft from Sporting News indicates it might be next year, with the Panthers selecting defensive lineman Bryan Bresee at No. 8 overall.
Bresee is a dynamic talent that is looking to stake his claim after his season ended after just four games due to a torn ACL. The talent is certainly there, but scouts will be keeping a close eye on his return before considering the lineman as a first-round pick.
"“The Panthers need to think about their defensive front more next year with some limited return from 2020 first-rounder Derrick Brown. Bresee should rebound as a disruptive force for Tigers returning from a torn ACL.”"
Simply put, Bresee is a game wrecker when in the mood. His awareness against the run is first-class and the prospect has absolutely no trouble generating pressure from the interior in obvious pass-rushing situations.
Carolina does have Derrick Brown. But finding him a long-term partner would further benefit a front seven that appears loaded with young, athletic talent.
