What are the best landing spots for former Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton now that the 2022 NFL Draft has concluded?

The future of Cam Newton is still up in the air. Although the quarterback indicated there has been some interest from a number of teams, nothing concrete has emerged as yet, and coming back to the Carolina Panthers also appears unrealistic at the present time after the team drafted Matt Corral at No. 94 overall in the 2022 NFL Draft.

Newton‘s bombshell return to Carolina before their Week 10 clash at the Arizona Cardinals was astonishing. A whirlwind start couldn’t halt the alarming freefall that the Panthers endured following their 3-0 start and it didn’t take long for head coach Matt Rhule to install Sam Darnold back into the lineup once he was fit enough to participate.

It was also evident that Newton walked back into a completely different locker room. One that was a far cry from the Auburn product’s glory days with the likes of Greg Olsen, Luke Kuechly, Thomas Davis, and Ryan Kalil.

The former NFL MVP and Heisman Trophy winner doesn’t appear to be too keen on walking away just yet. Newton has also stated he would be more than willing to accept a backup role providing it was a good fit and the team had a good chance of contending.

Only time will tell as to which way this goes for Newton, who could use a full offseason somewhere after an extremely disruptive period over the last two years. Here are the signal-caller’s four best landing spots following the 2022 draft.
