Carolina Panthers should fear Rachaad White

It was a relatively quiet 2022 NFL Draft for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. But they put together eight selections despite trading out of the first round.

This is a big campaign for the organization and perhaps their final chance to win it all again unless Tom Brady comes back for yet another season in 2023, which does seem unlikely given the fact he retired ever so briefly earlier this offseason.

Perhaps the most intriguing arrival from the college ranks is Rachaad White, a talented running back out of Arizona State that the Buccaneers grabbed at No. 91 overall. The rookie will now look to stamp his authority on the franchise quickly, competing with Leonard Fournette and Ke’Shawn Vaughn for depth chart position during the upcoming preparation period.

White was a consistent contributor for the Sun Devils. He is a physically imposing backfield presence at 6-foot-2 that has no trouble bursting through in between the tackles with a ferociousness that is hard not to love.

The prospect rose to prominence last season with 1,000 rushing yards and 15 touchdowns. His running style is something the Carolina Panthers have had difficulty with over the last two seasons, so White could be a problem if he does enough to earn prominent reps.
