What are some best and worst-case scenarios for Carolina Panthers quarterback Matt Corral during his first season with the team in 2022?

There is an enormous sense of intrigue surrounding Matt Corral after the Carolina Panthers traded up to acquire the quarterback at No. 94 overall in the 2022 NFL Draft. His time at Ole Miss was littered with high-quality moments and even though it might take time, there could be a productive NFL starter in the offing with a little more development at the next level.

Corral is a hard worker who excites on the field. He also brings a superb amount of leadership within the locker room and was revered by coaches and teammates alike throughout his stint with the Rebels.

The NFL is a completely different ball game, obviously. But Corral has the added benefit of proven production in the SEC, which is college football’s benchmark and something scouts value when assessing prospects.

Sliding down the pecking order when many projected Corral to be a first-round pick probably stung. However, this should be all the motivation he needs to prove his doubters wrong.

This also represents a fantastic opportunity to stake his claim for a starting spot quickly. Much work needs to be done before this becomes a reality, but it’s a challenge that Corral is likely to relish.

With this in mind, here are four best and worst-case scenarios for Corral during his rookie campaign in Carolina.
