Andre Roberts – Carolina Panthers WR/KR

In keeping with the trend of former All-Pros, the Carolina Panthers added another with the acquisition of kick returner Andre Roberts on a one-year deal.

Roberts is one of the best returners in the game and has forged a reputation in recent years as a real threat, leading to him an All-Pro selection in 2018 and a further two second-team distinctions in 2020 and 2021.

Last year the Panthers employed Alex Erickson as a returner. The former Cincinnati Bengal was solid but no more than that with kick and punt return averages of 28.5 and 8.9 yards respectively.

While Roberts only averaged 5.5 yards on punt returns last season, it was in the kick return game where the Citadel product excelled. He was 10th in return yards at 27.7, as well as having the most returns with 37 and most yards with 1,010.

He even added a 101-yard house call to his already impressive highlight tape.

Roberts also has previous experience playing with current starting quarterback Sam Darnold on the New York Jets and even caught a touchdown pass from the signal-caller in a Week 15 matchup against the Houston Texans.
