Dennis Daley – Carolina Panthers OL

Just how many chances Dennis Daley has left with the Carolina Panthers heading into the final year of his deal is up for debate. Although the offensive lineman has all the physical attributes needed to make a go of things, it just hasn’t come together as yet and his level of performance in 2021 was arguably the worst of his career so far.

Daley was a prime candidate to be released this offseason. But the Panthrs held their ground with the former sixth-round pickin the hope that new offensive line coach James Campen can work his magic in training camp.

There is no question Daley has a significant task ahead of him. As stated previously, Carolina has brought in some tremendous ugrades across the protection, which means that competition for places will be even higher in the coming weeks before some crucial decisions are made.

The most concerning thing of all where Daley is concerned was almost no accountability. Something that became prevalant throughout the roster as things turned sour quickly for the Panthers after such a promising start.

Daley must show heart and a willingness to learn in camp to stand any chance of making the roster. But it wouldn’t be the biggest surprise to see the South Carolina product fail to meet these objectives given his current career trajectory.
