4 Panthers coaches who could get promotions if things go well in 2022

Which Carolina Panthers coaches could secure promotions within the organization or elsewhere if things go well during the 2022 season?
Matt Rhule kept his job as head coach despite little to no progress coming in 2021, but all around him seemed to change. The Carolina Panthers underwent a significant overhaul of coaches working underneath the former Baylor man, with most coming with legitimate NFL experience in primary positions that can be a real asset next season.
One of the main criticisms thrown at Rhule during his spell with the Panthers is his inability to adjust effectively during games. He’s often been outcoached in key moments, which cannot continue much longer if Carolina wants to stand any chance of making strides when competitive games get here.
This can only help Rhule. But there are no more excuses with problem positions strengthened and a new quarterback finally acquired after a deal was struck with the Cleveland Browns for Baker Mayfield.
Without further ado, we picked out four Panthers coaches who could get promotions if things go well for the franchise in 2022.
Coach No. 1
Matt Lombardi – Carolina Panthers passing game specialist
Although things went completely south for the passing game last season, Matt Lombardi was kept around and given another opportunity to prove his worth working alongside offensive coordinator Ben McAdoo.
Lombardi is entering his third season with the organization after becoming one of Matt Rhule’s first hires upon getting the top job. It’s been a mixed bag so far, but he remains largely respected and could become more influential depending on how things click with McAdoo.
This is also dependent on Baker Mayfield’s ability to adjust. Something that could make or break Carolina’s upcoming campaign and Lombardi will hope the new signal-caller gets up to speed at the earliest possible opportunity.
