Carolina Panthers could draft Bryan Bresee

As stated previously, the Carolina Panthers could use the 2023 NFL Draft to find a long-term partner for Derrick Brown. Free-agent signing Matt Ioannidis will be tasked with the role next season after DaQuan Jones left in free agency for the Buffalo Bills, but it remains to be seen whether another former college player of Matt Rhule’s can secure the gig beyond the upcoming campaign.

Even though Bryan Bresee’s 2021 season ended prematurely through injury, his exceptional skill set has NFL scouts salivating about the player’s return to the gridiron. The versatile defensive lineman is the perfect blend of size, strength, and explosiveness, which could see him become a top-10 selection providing there are no further complications on the injury front.

Bresee’s footwork and agility are things that really set him apart from other prospects at the position. This makes him a significant threat in stopping the run and with 5.5 sacks from 15 games, there is a lot to like about his potential rushing the quarterback.

From a technical standpoint, Bresee is already NFL-ready. If he can work on getting off blocks a little quicker next season, then he’ll be a hot commodity during the 2023 draft evaluation process.

Hopefully, Bresee can do his chances the world of good by putting a consistent run of games together. If he accomplishes this, then a dominant campaign won’t be far behind.
