4 players the Carolina Panthers can feel more comfortable about in 2022

Robbie Anderson – Carolina Panthers WR
Drama seemed to follow Robbie Anderson around this offseason. From trade rumors to contemplating retirement and comments about trading for Baker Mayfield, it’s only raised the stakes for a bounce-back campaign in 2022.
Anderson and Mayfield have hit it off, which was great to see. They almost connected on a beautiful deep ball at the Washington Commanders that the wideout failed to snatch under pressure.
Watching Anderson come to life over the final fortnight of training camp was another encouraging sign. Something that the Temple product can hopefully take through into Week 1 and beyond.
The player certainly isn’t lacking confidence. There remains plenty of swagger to Anderson’s approach and if Mayfield can provide better distribution under center, an increase in numbers is well within his capabilities.
Couple this with the notable addition of new offensive coordinator Ben McAdoo, and it’s yet another indicator that Anderson could be set for big things. But much like the situation with C.J. Henderson, a fast start is absolutely vital.
The Panthers have Christian McCaffrey back and D.J. Moore on the outside taking the majority of attention. So there could be space for Anderson’s smooth route-running to play a huge role.
