There are enough reasons to suggest that the Carolina Panthers can beat the New York Giants in Week 2 at MetLife Stadium.

Despite it being only the second week of a 17-game season, it seems Carolina Panthers head coach Matt Rhule has already started to enter the realm of must-win territory. Returning to the scene of arguably his worst loss, the former Baylor man will be looking for a more positive outcome than the embarrassing 25-3 defeat in MetLife Stadium last season.

This weekend’s opponents are flying high on the back of a stellar performance from stud running back Saquon Barkley, who exploded for 194 all-purpose yards as the New York Giants secured a stunning victory on the road against last year’s No. 1 seed in the AFC, the Tennessee Titans.

After watching Nick Chubb and the Cleveland Browns run all over this Carolina defensive front seven, the sight of an offense that ran for a league-high 238 yards doesn’t inspire confidence. Something that won’t have gone unnoticed by new Giants head coach Brian Daboll.

With the likes of Joe Burrow, Lamar Jackson, and Matthew Stafford still on the schedule, the Panthers should be targeting this game as a win. However, they face a team on the rise under the charismatic Daboll.

It might seem like all doom and gloom right now. But here are some reasons why Carolina can beat the Giants in Week 2.
