Which Carolina Panthers players have their hype trains rolling after an impressive victory against the New Orleans Saints in Week 3?

After so long without success, it’s been a weird feeling for Carolina Panthers fans to head into a gameday week on the back of a win. Matt Rhule relieved some pressure from his shoulders thanks to a home victory over the New Orleans Saints, but there is plenty of hard work ahead for the organization if they want to build on this moving forward.

There was an enormous sense of relief when the final result became a reality. Carolina’s defense led the way with an exceptional performance, which was matched by outstanding production on special teams to compensate for a lack of offensive efficiency once again.

How the Panthers put this momentum into their Week 4 clash against the Arizona Cardinals is the next big challenge. Rhule and his squad are in no position to become complacent, with things still hanging in the balance regarding their fortunes during a make-or-break campaign.

With that being said, here are five Panthers players whose hype trains are rolling after Week 3 versus the Saints.

Special teams are an area that’s improved dramatically in 2022 for the Carolina Panthers so far. Chris Tabor’s impact has been immediate and the punting of Johnny Hekker is another large factor in why this unit is more dependable than ever.

Hekker’s credentials are renowned and could one day end up in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Many thought he was heading on a downward curve with the Los Angeles Rams last season, but the veteran proved there is plenty of life left if recent performances are any indication.

The former Oregon State standout was flawless in Week 3. And he’s been one of Carolina’s best off-season additions right out of the gate.
