What are some burning questions Carolina Panthers fans have ahead of their Week 9 road matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals?

Late in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s game, it looked like the Carolina Panthers were about to escape Mercedes-Benz Stadium with the NFC South division lead in check thanks to P.J. Walker’s incredible Hail Mary to D.J. Moore.

Two missed kicks by Eddy Pineiro in regulation and overtime sealed the deal, and the Atlanta Falcons came away with sole possession of first in what’s becoming an underwhelming division.

It was an incredibly tough and heartbreaking loss for a Panthers team that had a chance to compete for a division title while in rebuild mode. Instead of being one of the league’s biggest surprises in recent weeks, this organization is now 2-6 and currently projected to select No. 3 overall in the 2023 NFL Draft.

Despite the disappointing loss, the Panthers have shown to be very competitive and tough. Interim head coach Steve Wilks is continuing to make his case to return next season as the organization’s permanent guy after making vast improvements in a short space of time.

As the franchise enters the halfway mark for the season, many fans have shown some optimism with the play of certain areas of the team such as the offensive line, Moore’s uptick in production, the emergence of Terrace Marshall Jr., and more.

You, the fans, have some questions that would like to be answered about what is next for your favorite football team. Let’s look at such burning questions ahead of Sunday’s road game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
