Which Carolina Panthers players must improve their performance level during a difficult Week 9 game against the Cincinnati Bengals?

The Carolina Panthers sit at 2-6 in the standings so far in 2022. But their record doesn’t quite represent the change in this team compared to when the season started and especially since Matt Rhule was sent packing as head coach.

Carolina’s offense has been moving the ball much better over the last fortnight. The team is also performing much better on third down, although it’s still far from perfect.

The Panthers’ defense continues to cause turnovers and remain effective despite a poor showing overall at the Atlanta Falcons in Week 8. Special teams had been solid all season up until last week, so there are reasons to be encouraged under the guidance of interim head coach Steve Wilks.

Wilks has this team playing with heart and the fans are seeing a much better product on the field than they’re used to. What a difference an authentic coach who is all business makes.

With the heartbreaking loss in Week 8 to the Falcons now firmly in the rearview mirror, the Panthers will look to bounce back in Week 9 against the Cincinnati Bengals. Not the easiest proposition on the road, even if the hosts are missing some key figures for the clash.

In order for the team to be firing on all cylinders, here are three Panthers players that need to improve their play in Week 9.
