4 burning questions Panthers fans are asking ahead of Week 10 vs. Falcons
What are some burning questions Carolina Panthers fans have ahead of their Week 10 home game against the Atlanta Falcons?
Despite the loss to the Atlanta Falcons in overtime two weeks ago, the Carolina Panthers and its fans had a sense of optimism and excitement moving forward. P.J. Walker and D.J. Moore were connecting very well and everything we saw from that came suggested this is a team that could compete week in and week out.
That was until Cincinnati Bengals running back Joe Mixon terrorized the Panthers’ defense with five total touchdowns in a 42-21 victory. By halftime, Carolina was down 35-0 as the game seemed all but over.
The entire team struggled on both sides of the ball. It was an embarrassing and disappointing loss and arguably one of the worst gameday showings in the franchise’s history.
Now, the Panthers will be playing on a short week as they take on the Falcons in Week 10 under the national spotlight. This is a big test for interim head coach Steve Wilks as he tries to right the ship heading into the later portion of the season.
Not only will Wilks attempt to right the ship, but he’ll also have to address the quarterback situation once more and whether or not to start Walker or Baker Mayfield, who impressed in the second half on Sunday.
You, the fans, have some questions that would like to be answered about what is next for your favorite football team. Let’s look at such burning questions ahead of Thursday night’s game against the Falcons.
