A stern test awaits the Carolina Panthers in Week 11 when they make the daunting trip to take on the in-form Baltimore Ravens.

It was encouraging to see the Carolina Panthers respond positively in Week 10 against the Atlanta Falcons. Interim head coach Steve Wilks deserves enormous credit for picking his roster off the canvas in such a limited timeframe, having them ready to perform en route to a morale-boosting victory on Thursday Night Football.

While this did nothing for Carolina’s chances of landing someone like Bryce Young or C.J. Stroud, that won’t matter to Wilks and his staff. This is a roster that refuses to throw in the towel under his leadership, which is a far cry from the unprepared, unmotivated team we saw during Matt Rhule’s failed tenure.

Another difficult test awaits the Panthers in Week 11 when they visit the Baltimore Ravens. A team that’s fresh off their bye week, is right in the thick of things regarding a divisional title and boasts one of the league’s most exciting players in quarterback Lamar Jackson.

Wilks originally named P.J. Walker as Carolina’s starting quarterback once again. but the signal-caller is dealing with a thigh complication that is set to keep him out of the game, leaving the Panthers with no option other than to install Baker Mayfield as the starter.

Nobody is expecting the Panthers to pull off an upset. However, that might be when they’re at their most dangerous.

Carolina Panthers at Ravens prediction for Week 11

This is easily Carolina’s most difficult game remaining on their 2022 schedule. Baltimore isn’t the most hospitable of places to play at the best of times, but with the team in strong contention for the AFC North championship and a potential postseason run, it makes it all the more difficult.

The Panthers won’t go down without a fight. Wilks demands nothing but the maximum effort from top to bottom, but Carolina does appear to be severely overmatched when examining both rosters.

Of course, any given Sunday dictates the Panthers have a glimmer of hope if nothing else. But this looks like a bad scheme matchup despite the Ravens missing Rashod Bateman through injury.

That hasn’t mattered much to Jackson in recent weeks. The dual-threat quarterback could get a record-breaking contract when the season comes to a conclusion and the Panthers’ defense must be ready for anything in pursuit of limiting his overall influence.

This notion is much easier said than done. With that being said, predicting anything other than a Baltimore win in Week 11 would be foolish.
