Which Carolina Panthers find themselves on the hot seat ahead of their Week 12 clash against the Denver Broncos at Bank of America Stadium?

One last game awaits the Carolina Panthers before their long-awaited bye week. It also represents a good chance for interim head coach Steve Wilks to gain additional momentum ahead of the team’s extended period of rest.

After another pathetic display on offense during Carolina’s loss at the Baltimore Ravens, Wilks will no doubt be demanding a response from his players and coaching staff this weekend when they host the Denver Broncos. A team that were tipped to go deep into the playoffs but have yet to meet these lofty expectations in 2022.

The Panthers aren’t going anywhere fast. But with players fighting for their own futures and also pulling for Wilks to get the job long-term, they shouldn’t be found wanting for effort in front of a fanbase that’s equally as deserving of the break.

Without further ado, here are four Panthers who find themselves on the hot seat in Week 12 versus the Broncos.

Taylor Moton – Carolina Panthers OT

There’s no denying Taylor Moton‘s credentials. He is among the league’s best right tackles when firing on all cylinders, but it’s hard to deny that some slight cracks have begun to rear their ugly head where the supremely consistent player is concerned.

Moton looked incredibly shaky for the most part last weekend. He’s given up two sacks and conceded six penalties from 640 snaps this season, but the Carolina Panthers are correct to expect more from the former second-round pick given he’s now one of the team’s top earners.

The Panthers are counting on Moton to deliver the goods. His overall production in 2022 has been fine, but there is a need for the Western Michigan product to put in a strong performance before the bye.
