3 under-the-radar Panthers that must perform in Week 12 vs. Broncos
By Dean Jones
Which under-the-radar Carolina Panthers players must perform for their team to stand any chance in Week 12 against the Denver Broncos?
The Carolina Panthers are no doubt looking forward to their upcoming bye week. Before then, they must put together a better performance to leave the home faithful happy against the Denver Broncos at Bank of America Stadium.
This looks like another winnable game for the Panthers in a season that’s been largely underwhelming. Denver has not been anywhere close to what many anticipated following their daring trade to acquire quarterback Russell Wilson from the Seattle Seahawks, so Carolina can rightfully fancy their chances of a fourth win.
If the Panthers pull it off, the ramifications could be severe in terms of impacting their chances of landing someone like Bryce Young or C.J. Stroud during the 2023 NFL Draft. However, that will be the last thing on interim head coach Steve Wilks’ mind as he looks to convince team owner David Tepper he’s worthy of a bigger commitment.
Nothing but a collective effort and maximum commitment will do. Here are three under-the-radar Panthers players who must perform in pursuit of victory this weekend.
Player No. 1
Bravvion Roy – Carolina Panthers DT
One of the big positives from Week 11 was an incredible interception from defensive tackle Bravvion Roy. The former sixth-round pick displayed tremendous athleticism to snag the football from close range, even bringing it back for considerable yardage despite his massive stature.
This would have been a real confidence boost for Roy, who looks set for increased playing time alongside Derrick Brown once again with Matt Ioannidis already ruled out through injury. How he performs will have big implications not only on the Carolina Panthers’ chances in Week 12 but also on his future beyond the current campaign.
