Which way should the Carolina Panthers go with their 2023 NFL Draft selections heading into the college football bowl season?

The Carolina Panthers are coming off a feel-good, 23-10 victory over the Denver Broncos. However, this win has not stopped fans from discussing the upcoming NFL Draft and the potential quarterback prospects expected to enter the process this spring.

With a 4-8 record, Carolina is unlikely to land the No. 1 overall pick as the Houston Texans have likely locked up that slot. The Panthers have played competitive football despite their offensive inefficiencies and current situation under center all while having uncertainty about who their next head coach could be.

Steve Wilks has done a terrific job with how he’s handled the franchise following the firing of Matt Rhule, who has recently been hired by the Nebraska Cornhuskers as their next head coach. Something that will give him strong claims to win the job permanently beyond 2022.

The Panthers will have a new look next season no matter what happens over the next five games. There could be a new starting quarterback in 2023 and quite possibly a new head coach. These are interesting times in the Carolinas as fans anxiously await the finalized draft order and what free agency entails for the team’s intentions.

With this in mind, I took a look at what the Panthers might do with their 2023 selections in my first four-round mock draft for the upcoming NFL Draft using the RiseNDraft simulator.
