What key storylines should be monitored closely during the final five games of a dramatic 2022 season for the Carolina Panthers?

The Carolina Panthers are about to begin their quest for a momentum-building finish to the campaign when they return from their much-needed bye week. Momentum is finally building steadily across the franchise thanks to the influence of Steve Wilks, who’s done a remarkable job in difficult circumstances after replacing Matt Rhule.

There is enough talent for the Panthers to make some noise down the stretch. A well-rested team is always a dangerous one, so it’ll be interesting to see if everything comes together positively at the Seattle Seahawks in Week 14 and beyond that.

With big changes set to take place this offseason, the stakes remain high despite Carolina’s limited postseason chances. Nothing but maximum commitment will do and how they perform is likely to have big-time implications on the team’s thought process this spring.

It promises to be interesting, to put it mildly. Here are four key storylines to monitor over Carolina’s final five games of 2022.

Can the Carolina Panthers finish on a high?

Looking at the schedule, there appears to be a chance for the Carolina Panthers to finish their 2022 engagements on a positive note. Their strong home record could mean at least two more victories, but the form away from Bank of America Stadium hasn’t been great and this needs to be rectified at the earliest possible opportunity.

Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers coming back from the brink to beat the New Orleans Saints on Monday Night Football put another nail in Carolina’s slim divisional title hopes. However, the Bucs’ remaining games look especially difficult and if the Panthers continue racking up wins, they might not be out of it just yet.
