3 Carolina Panthers facing a do-or-die final four games in 2022

Which Carolina Panthers are facing a do-or-die final four games in 2022 as the organization looks to achieve an unlikely NFC South title?
It’s surprising to see the Carolina Panthers playing competitive football that means something in December. This has a lot to do with the overall standard within the NFC South, but interim head coach Steve Wilks deserves endless credit for picking his team off the canvas and getting them fighting once again.
Expectations are rising in and out of the franchise about what the Panthers could potentially achieve in 2022. Winning their final two home games would be a good place to start, which could give Wilks’ men enough momentum to clinch the division against all odds.
There is a lot on the line over the next month. Something that will also have grave ramifications on certain individuals occupying prominent positions within the organization.
With this in mind, here are three Panthers facing a do-or-die final four games in 2022.
Panther No. 1
Ben McAdoo – Carolina Panthers OC
After Ben McAdoo struggled to overcome the controlling presence of previous head coach Matt Rhule early on, things are looking up for the offensive coordinator. Steve Wilks has plenty of trust in his ability to call games relating to the team’s new ethos, which centers on running the football and wearing opposing defenses down at the line of scrimmage.
The Carolina Panthers have an identity on offense at last. McAdoo deserves credit for this working alongside Wilks, but he’ll need a phenomenal end to the campaign in pursuit of staying around in his current position.
This scenario seems unlikely – especially if team owner David Tepper doesn’t give Wilks a permanent promotion – but it’s not out of the question if Carolina’s recent resurgence continues.
