What  Jaycee Horn’s injury means for the Carolina Panthers

How bad is the break of Jaycee Horn’s wrist? Would he still be able to play in a padded cast? – Michael

Michael, seeing Jaycee Horn get hurt was very disappointing. If you’ve been living under a rock, the stud cornerback broke his wrist in the big win over the Detroit Lions and will not be playing this weekend at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

It is quite unfortunate. Horn is growing into one of the best cornerbacks in the NFL and has been playing elite-level football for the last several weeks.

Horn’s absence is a big loss, especially with the matchups against Buccaneers wide receivers Mike Evans and Chris Godwin. This means that C.J. Henderson and Keith Taylor Jr. will be the starting corners in Week 17.

There is hope the return of Josh Norman will help spark some life and good play in the young corners considering their past struggles. While the former All-Pro will be on a pitch count this weekend, he can provide a veteran presence and leadership to the locker room heading into the big game.

Horn’s presence will be missed, and it could cost the Carolina Panthers this weekend. Hopefully, the addition of Norman to the roster behind Taylor Jr. and Henderson can provide the spark needed to cope with some dangerous weapons at quarterback Tom Brady’s disposal.
