Which Carolina Panthers players could become shocking cuts once a new coaching staff is confirmed following the 2022 season?

Even though there is one game left to play, the Carolina Panthers’ 2022 season is effectively over. At this point, the playoffs and NFC South division are out of the picture following a Week 17 loss to the division rival Tampa Bay Buccaneers, which saw the team completely collapse in the face of Tom Brady’s late rally in the fourth quarter.

With a trip to the New Orleans Saints on the horizon for Week 18, the Panthers are not only playing for a moral victory or a higher draft pick but also to evaluate who deserves to be back with the team next season.

From the head coaching vacancy to finding a new quarterback, team owner David Tepper and general manager Scott Fitterer have quite a few key decisions to make before the next season.

Fitterer, in particular, will be in the midst of a make-or-break year in 2023. His missteps in free agency during the Matt Rhule era can potentially be rectified this upcoming offseason by giving the team ample cap space to make a splash for better talent.

With that unfortunately comes the release of some roster members who may have impacted the season prior. Here are some players the Panthers should consider cutting after the season to help alleviate cap concerns before free agency and the draft.
