Which Carolina Panthers players went missing during another dramatic season for the franchise in 2022?

The Carolina Panthers finished their 2022 season on the front foot with a late victory at the New Orleans Saints. This ensured a 7-10 final record as a result of their efforts, which represents a fine achievement considering they began the campaign 1-5 and with far more questions than answers about their current direction.

Steve Wilks deserves exceptional praise for turning this sinking ship back on track. Whether it’s enough for team owner David Tepper to remove the interim tag and resist other worthy candidates is the big question.

Despite these encouraging signs, Carolina went through another losing year under Tepper’s leadership. This means there is no margin for error ahead of some critical decisions in readiness for the 2023 campaign.

For some players, it was also a season to forget. With this in mind, here are four Panthers players that went missing in 2022.

Despite occupying a rotational role in the wake of Xavier Woods arriving from the Minnesota Vikings in free agency, Juston Burris still fell victim to the injury bug. Something that’s been a constant frustration throughout his time with the Carolina Panthers following his arrival in 2020.

Burris has been active just four times this season after failing to make the 53-man roster initially. When the time comes to make roster decisions this offseason, keeping the former North Carolina State standout around might not be the wisest move all things considered.
