Which way could the Carolina Panthers go with their 2023 NFL Draft selections as the offseason gets underway?

The Carolina Panthers are entering this offseason at a crucial impasse. They’re a team needing a new coaching staff and a quarterback to go along with a talented roster ready to compete as soon as possible.

Owner David Tepper and general manager Scott Fitterer are in the process of interviewing potential head coaches. In just a couple of months, those in power will be diving deeper into the upcoming 2023 NFL Draft class that features plenty of talent across the board.

The Panthers are slated to pick No. 9 overall, which means they will be in a good position to draft a quarterback. However, with multiple teams ahead of them needing a young franchise signal-caller, Fitterer may have to be aggressive and jump up to get his guy.

This NFL Draft is already unique thanks to the different types of quarterbacks that headline the class. There is a fair amount of high-end talent along the defensive front, an area in which the Panthers will also be looking to improve during the offseason.

It’s January, which means the positioning of prospects in this mock draft is not guaranteed and many things could change as the process ramps up over the coming months.

Using the NFL Mock Draft Database simulator, I took a look at which way the Panthers might go with their upcoming selections in my first seven-round mock draft of the offseason.
