Carolina Panthers select Olusegun Oluwatimi

  • Center | Michigan Wolverines

One of the most crucial things a team needs is quality depth across the roster. The same goes for the Carolina Panthers this off-season.

Throughout the last offseason, I preached the importance of quality depth as the team was upgrading its offensive line. Following Austin Corbett and Brady Christensen’s injuries, having reliable spot starters is crucial for sustainability across the protection.

Bradley Bozeman is a free agent, meaning that his return is not guaranteed. Whether both parties go their separate ways or not, Scott Fitterer should consider adding additional options, including at the center spot.

Michigan’s Olusegun Oluwatimi is a big reason why his teammates on the offensive line were Joe Moore Award winners. He is arguably one of the better centers in this upcoming draft and will could be selected higher than this when the time comes.

Oluwatimi is a physical and refined center who has created multiple creases in the run game for star running backs Blake Corum and Donovan Edwards. He plays with a good base that allows him to create leverage and anchor while showing off good lateral agility to pick up blitzes, twists, and stunts.
